Do not show feedback notifications
This device-wide `REG_DWORD` value controls whether Windows displays notifications asking users to provide feedback to Microsoft.
since 0.9.8.11
Purpose
Show registry keys (1)
HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DataCollection\DoNotShowFeedbackNotifications
This device-wide REG_DWORD value controls whether Windows displays notifications asking users to provide feedback to Microsoft.
A value of 1 suppresses these feedback notifications. A value of 0 does not disable them; whether feedback questions appear, and how often, then depends on other policy settings and the user’s local preferences.
Notes
Additional effects
When the value is set to 1, users cannot restore the feedback questions through their personal feedback-frequency setting. Without this restriction, users can control how often Windows asks them for feedback.
Security
This setting applies only to requests for user-generated feedback. It does not reduce or disable the diagnostic and usage data that Windows collects and sends. The value therefore does not serve as a Windows diagnostic-data control.
Notes
The setting has device scope and consequently affects every user of the device. It suppresses feedback notifications only; Microsoft does not document it as disabling other Feedback Hub functionality.
