HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent\ContentDeliveryAllowed
Setup Foundry writes the computer-wide registry value as a DWORD with data 0.
Microsoft does not document ContentDeliveryAllowed at this path as a supported Windows policy registry value. It therefore cannot be established reliably that Windows reads the value from this location or that it disables Windows content delivery. On supported Windows releases, the entry might have no observable effect.
Notes
Notes
This value must not be treated as equivalent to the identically named per-user entry under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager. Effects commonly attributed to that per-user value cannot be transferred to the computer-wide policy path used here.
Microsoft documents different values under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent for related purposes. These include DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures, which controls Microsoft consumer experiences, and the Windows 11 policy value DisableCloudOptimizedContent, which causes experiences to use default fallback content instead of cloud-optimized content. Both are separate policies with distinct value names and are not interchangeable with ContentDeliveryAllowed.
