Purpose

Show registry keys (1)
  • HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager\SubscribedContent-310013Enabled

Setup Foundry stores this registry value as REG_DWORD data 0 in the current user's profile. The value is located under the Windows Content Delivery Manager key and, according to the Setup Foundry catalog, is intended to disable a subscribed category of consumer content.

Microsoft does not document the exact SubscribedContent-310013Enabled value. In particular, no public Microsoft documentation identifies the content category represented by the internal identifier 310013 or the Windows surfaces that evaluate it. It therefore cannot be stated reliably that the value suppresses particular recommendations, application installations, notifications, or all Microsoft consumer experiences.

Notes

Notes

Because the value resides under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, its scope is limited to the affected user profile. It is not the documented registry value for the Turn off Microsoft consumer experiences Group Policy setting. That policy uses HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent\DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures and has a different scope.

The effects Microsoft documents for that Group Policy setting—including Start suggestions, membership notifications, post-OOBE application installation, and redirect tiles—must not be attributed to SubscribedContent-310013Enabled without separate evidence. Microsoft also does not officially document supported Windows versions or the meaning of other data values for this individual registry value.
