Show suggestions occasionally in Timeline
This per-user `DWORD` value controls suggestions in the Windows 10 Timeline.
since 0.9.8.11
Purpose
Show registry keys (1)
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager\SubscribedContent-353698Enabled
This per-user DWORD value controls suggestions in the Windows 10 Timeline. Timeline extends Task View with past activities, such as previously opened files, apps, and websites.
A value of 0 suppresses suggestions that would otherwise appear occasionally in Timeline. It does not disable Timeline itself, stop activity history from being recorded or displayed, or delete existing activities.
Notes
Notes
This setting is limited to suggestions in the Windows 10 Timeline. It does not generally disable suggested apps or content elsewhere in Windows, such as the Start menu or the Settings app.
Microsoft retired the Timeline user interface in Windows 11, so the value has no corresponding function there. Timeline remains available for locally stored activities on Windows 10, but the former cross-device synchronization of activity history has been discontinued.
Microsoft documents Timeline and its current scope but does not provide a current public reference that explicitly describes the internal SubscribedContent-353698Enabled registry value.
