Show the Windows welcome experience after updates and when signed in to show what's new and suggested
This per-user DWORD value controls the subscribed-content category associated with the Windows welcome experience.
since 0.9.8.11
Purpose
Show registry keys (1)
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager\SubscribedContent-310093Enabled
This per-user DWORD value controls the subscribed-content category associated with the Windows welcome experience. A value of 0 disables that content category for the current user. Windows should consequently stop presenting the welcome experience after updates or at sign-in to highlight new or changed features and show suggestions.
Notes
Possible side effects
The user no longer receives information about new Windows features or changes to Windows and its apps through this welcome experience. This individual value is not documented as disabling every other type of suggested content, such as Windows tips, Start suggestions, or prompts to finish setting up the device.
Notes
This is a user-profile preference, not a Group Policy value. Microsoft does not document the numeric identifier 310093 in its public policy reference. The separately documented Turn off the Windows Welcome Experience Group Policy uses HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent\DisableWindowsSpotlightWindowsWelcomeExperience instead.
Microsoft documents the related Windows welcome experience for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It does not publish a binding version or compatibility contract for this internal registry value, so whether Windows evaluates it can depend on the Windows build.
