RDX can obtain sample assets through Microsoft Store and, after a shopper stops interacting with the device, close apps, delete files from known user folders, and clear local and roaming application state.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>According to Microsoft’s service description, \u003Ccode>RetailDemo\u003C\u002Fcode> does not provide a general Windows function when the device is outside retail demo mode.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"privacy-and-security\">Privacy and security\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>The RDX cleanup process is designed to prevent the next shopper from seeing files and application data left by a previous user. On a demonstration device, this can include captured photos and videos, downloads, documents, and local application state.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Microsoft does not document separate personal-data uploads or a dedicated diagnostic-data flow for the \u003Ccode>RetailDemo\u003C\u002Fcode> service itself. RDX assets can nevertheless be delivered online through Microsoft Store. Disabling this service does not generally block Microsoft Store connections or Windows diagnostic-data transmission.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>On a device that is actually used for retail demonstrations, loss of RDX coordination may leave shopper-created content without the intended cleanup. Automatic return to the presentation, restoration of sample content, and cleanup between shoppers may fail or remain incomplete.
